Trump To Address NRA Convention, Claims He Could Win Minnesota

Donald Trump looks Confident.

Former President Trump is set to address thousands of gun enthusiasts at the NRA convention in Dallas today. Trump, who has previously touted himself as a staunch defender of the Second Amendment, is expected to reiterate his support for gun owners. On Friday, Trump attended his son Barron's high school graduation before heading to a campaign event in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he continued his criticisms of President Joe Biden.

During his speech in Minnesota, Trump questioned Biden's mental and physical fitness, going as far as suggesting that the president should undergo a drug test before the upcoming debates. Trump's remarks about demanding a drug test from Biden mark the first time he has mentioned this since the debates were scheduled. The first debate is slated for June 27th.

Despite losing Minnesota to Biden in the 2020 election, Trump falsely claimed that he had won the state. His team remains optimistic about their chances in Minnesota for the upcoming election, citing data that suggests they could be competitive. Notably, no Republican presidential candidate has won Minnesota since 1972 when Richard Nixon secured a victory.
